Польща призупинила Договір про збройні сили: президент Анджей Дуда підписав указ – держава більше не дотримується його положень. Це означає, що з 29 березня Польща не виконує умови Договору про звичайні збройні сили в Європі, хоча фактично залишається його учасником. Свій намір Польща анонсувала ще восени 2023 року.
Нагадаємо, що договір про звичайні збройні сили в Європі підписали 16 держав НАТО та 6 країн організації Варшавського договору ще 19 листопада 1990 року. Угода набрала чинності 9 листопада 1992 року. За умовами договору держави погодилися дотримуватися квоти на кількість одиниць військової техніки (танків, бойових машин, літаків) і боєприпасів, що зберігаються в Європі. Таким чином, це допомогло ефективно контролювати безпеку на континенті.
Росія також підписала цей договір, але 7 листопада 2023 року вирішила остаточно вийти з нього. Країни – члени НАТО засудили таке рішення Росії і безстроково зупинили свою участь в ньому. Держави перестали обмежувати кількість озброєння і техніки, зокрема бойових танків, артилерії, винищувачів, ударних гелікоптерів. А тепер і Польща призупинила Договір про збройні сили.
