Голова європейського комітету в Бундестазі, Антон Гофрайтер, висловив думку, що недавно схвалена Палатою представників США допомога Україні може бути останньою перед тривалою перервою. За інформацією “Європейської правди”, це повідомляє n-tv.

Гофрайтер не виключає, що це може бути останнім пакетом допомоги від США на довгий час, а можливо, навіть взагалі останнім. “Можливо, це останній пакет допомоги США за дуже довгий час – або навіть останній взагалі”, – сказав він, представник медіагрупи Funke.
Політик відзначив, що американська підтримка України стала дуже невизначеною через тривалий пат зі схваленням пакета допомоги. “Ми, європейці, повинні зробити набагато більше для України”, – додав він.
У суботу Палата представників США схвалила законопроект про іноземну допомогу для України. За нього проголосували 311 членів нижньої палати Конгресу, проти висловились 112.
Проєкт буде переданий на розгляд Сенату як зміни до сенатського законопроєкту про міжнародну допомогу США HR.815, який був прийнятий у лютому. Це має спростити процедуру схвалення пакета в Сенаті. Лідер демократичної більшості у Сенаті США Чак Шумер заявив, що Сенат планує голосувати за законопроєкт у вівторок, 23 квітня.
