В Берліні поліція розігнала пропалестинських демонстрантів, які вирішили встановити намети на внутрішньому дворі Вільного університету міста. “Європейська правда” опублікувала цю інформацію, посилаючись на AP.

Учасники протесту збудували приблизно 20 наметів та створили живий ланцюг навколо них. Більшість демонстрантів ховали свої обличчя за медичними масками і хустками, а також вигукували гасла, такі як “Віва, віва Палестина”.
Поліція Берліна за допомогою гучномовців закликала студентів покинути кампус. Під час сутичок між правоохоронцями та протестувальниками деяких студентів вивели з території, а проти інших застосували перцеві балончики.
Представники адміністрації університету заявили, що діалог з демонстрантами був неможливий, тому було вирішено викликати поліцію для очищення території. “Окупація кампусу є неприйнятною. Ми відкриті для діалогу, але не в такий спосіб”, – зазначив глава університету Гюнтер Ціглер.
Деякі протестувальники намагалися зайти в приміщення та лекційні аудиторії університету, адже адміністрація повідомила про їхні спроби захоплення. Мер Берліна Кай Вегнер підтримав рішення університету викликати поліцію, щоб запобігти загостренню ситуації.
Нещодавно студенти у Фінляндії, Данії, Італії, Іспанії, Франції та Великій Британії проводили протести на підтримку Палестини, повторюючи пропалестинські акції, які відбулися у американських університетах.
Також у Нідерландах поліція затримала близько 140 осіб під час розгону пропалестинських демонстрацій в Амстердамському університеті. У Франції акції підтримки Палестини пройшли у філіях Sciences Po та університеті у Парижі, а також у Сорбонні. Раніше влада Парижа призупинила фінансування університету до відновлення спокою та безпеки на території.
