Минулого року кількість людей, які отримали німецьке громадянство, досягла найвищого рівня з 2000 року. Про це повідомило агентство DPA, посилаючись на дані Федерального статистичного управління. За 2023 рік кількість натуралізацій зросла на 19% порівняно з попереднім роком, досягнувши приблизно 200 100 осіб. Представники 157 національностей отримали німецьке громадянство у 2023 році. Найбільше серед них було громадян Сирії, Туреччини, Іраку, Румунії та Афганістану, на які припала більше половини всіх натуралізацій.
Німеччина натуралізувала рекордну кількість людей
Середній вік натуралізованих громадян складав 29,3 років, що значно молодше загального населення. Частка жінок серед них склала 45%. Колишні громадяни Сирії становили найбільшу групу натуралізованих, на яку припала більше третини всіх натуралізацій. Їх кількість зросла на 56% порівняно з попереднім роком.
Це зростання пояснюється великою імміграцією сирійських шукачів притулку в 2014-2016 роках, які зараз відповідають вимогам для отримання громадянства. Кількість натуралізацій українців зросла на 6% до 5 900 у 2023 році, після значного збільшення з 1 900 до 5 600 у 2021-2022 роках. Натуралізація українців склала 3% від усіх випадків у 2023 році.
19 січня цього року німецький парламент спростив правила надання громадянства, що зробило Німеччину більш привабливою для іноземної робочої сили.
