Міністрка внутрішніх справ Німеччини, Ненсі Фезер, високо оцінила результати перевірок на кордоні з Чехією, Польщею та Швейцарією, які тривають перед продовженням строку цих перевірок. За інформацією “Європейської правди”, що посилається на Euractiv, уряд Німеччини ввів контроль на внутрішніх кордонах у минулому році через зростання кількості нелегальних перетинів.
Німеччина продовжує перевірки на кордонах
Фезер зазначила, що з середини жовтня 2023 року Федеральна поліція затримала близько 920 осіб за контрабанду в рамках цих перевірок, включаючи кордон з Австрією. Вона підкреслила, що ці результати свідчать про успішність заходів безпеки. Згідно з правилами Шенгенської зони, Німеччина повинна оголошувати продовження перевірок щосеместра, і останнє продовження може відбутися у грудні.
Хоча є критики, які вважають, що ці перевірки можуть підірвати Шенгенську зону, Фезер раніше заявляла, що вони можуть продовжитися на довший час. У березні Фезер висловила сподівання, що Німеччина повернеться до нормального стану в рамках Шенгену, коли в’їздитимуть менше людей.
Скільки було нелегалів?
Міністерство внутрішніх справ Німеччини повідомило, що кількість нелегальних перетинів кордону зменшилася з 21 тисячі у вересні до 7 500 у квітні. Загальна кількість перетинів у 2024 році зросла порівняно з попереднім роком.
Перевірки на кордоні з Польщею та Чехією були введені наприкінці вересня 2023 року. У відповідь ці країни запровадили контроль документів на кордоні зі Словаччиною. Це потрібно щоб стримати мігрантів, які прибувають здебільшого з Сербії через Угорщину.
Фезер раніше анонсувала, що в червні та липні 2024 року буде посилений контроль уздовж усього кордону на період проведення футбольного турніру Євро-2024.
