Канцлер Німеччини Олаф Шольц оголосив про придбання ще 20 винищувачів Eurofighter у рамках програми зміцнення збройних сил країни. Про це повідомляє Bloomberg, передає “Європейська правда”. Підсилення Бундесверу є частиною так званого “поворотного моменту” в німецькій політиці оборони і безпеки, який Шольц проголосив одразу після початку повномасштабного вторгнення Росії в Україну.
Німеччина купує ще 20 винищувачів Eurofighter
Виступаючи в середу на аерокосмічному ярмарку ILA в Берліні, Шольц заявив, що європейський і німецький оборонні сектори, здатні забезпечити достатню кількість зброї і боєприпасів, важливі як ніколи раніше. “Я рішуче виступаю за збереження і розширення виробничих потужностей. Саме тому ми замовимо ще 20 Eurofighter в цей законодавчий період,” – зазначив німецький канцлер.
Шольц додав, що ця закупівля здійснюється на додачу до вже запланованого замовлення 38 літаків, яке ще перебуває у процесі підготовки. Агентство, посилаючись на джерела, повідомляє, що вартість одного літака становитиме 4 мільярди євро, включаючи логістику і технічне обслуговування.
За інформацією співрозмовників агентства, міністерство оборони планує звернутися до парламентського бюджетного комітету з проханням схвалити цей проект наступного року перед виборами. У своєму виступі Шольц підтвердив свою обіцянку досягти мети НАТО щодо витрат на оборону в розмірі 2% від ВВП у довгостроковій перспективі.
Раніше ЗМІ повідомили, що німецька армія має намір замовити у виробника зброї Rheinmetall на 200 тисяч артилерійських снарядів більше, ніж планувала. Крім того, міністр оборони Німеччини Борис Пісторіус заявив, що збройні сили країни отримають загалом вісім нових зенітно-ракетних комплексів Patriot.
