Витрати Німеччини на оборону сягнуть 2% ВВП. У поточному році Німеччина гарантовано досягне витрат на оборону на рівні 2% ВВП, що є мінімальним базовим показником, встановленим Північноатлантичним альянсом. Про це пише Spiegel, повідомляє “Європейська правда”. Згідно з новим оглядом щодо витрат країн-членів НАТО, очікувані оборонні витрати Німеччини у 2024 році складуть 90,6 млрд євро, що становитиме 2,12% її ВВП. Це навіть більше, ніж прогнозували на початку року.
Витрати Німеччини на оборону сягнуть 2% ВВП
Таким чином, Німеччина вперше досягає цього цільового показника, встановленого ще у 2014 році. Варто зазначити, що Німеччина часто була об’єктом критики з боку 45-го президента США Дональда Трампа через її недостатні витрати на оборону. Потенційне повернення Трампа до Білого дому після виборів 2024 року може призвести до відновлення погроз виходу США з НАТО. Причиною для цього може стати “недостатній внесок Європи”, і союзники вже почали готуватися до такого сценарію.
Що прогнозує Столтенберг?
Раніше генеральний секретар НАТО Єнс Столтенберг заявив, що цього року більше 20 союзників досягнуть або перевищать цільовий показник у 2% ВВП на оборону. Також повідомлялося, що за 10 років російської війни проти України кількість держав-членів НАТО, які витрачають понад 2% ВВП на оборону, зросла у шість разів.
