У німецькому місті вирішили помилувати частину голубів
Міські власті Лімбурга в Німеччині вирішили змінити свої плани щодо зменшення популяції голубів. Раніше було заплановано вбити частину птахів, але тепер їх вирішено переселити в притулок у Баварії. Про це повідомляє видання Spiegel з посиланням на “Європейську правду”.
У німецькому місті вирішили помилувати частину голубів
Замість вбивства 200 голубів перевезуть до притулку, де їх відпустять жити в іншому місці, щоб вони не повернулися назад до Лімбурга. У листопаді 2023 року було прийнято рішення скоротити кількість голубів в місті, знищивши близько 400 птахів шляхом скручування їм шиї. Жителі Лімбурга підтримали цей план на референдумі.
Однак, після численних скарг з усієї Німеччини та погроз на адресу політиків, зокрема мера Маріуса Гана, місто вирішило змінити підхід. Мер Ган схвально відгукнувся про пропозицію переселення голубів до притулку для тварин. Він зазначив, що це набагато гуманніший варіант, ніж їхнє вбивство.
Тепер перед містом стоїть завдання: спіймати голубів та забезпечити їм належний догляд до моменту переселення. Переїзд до притулку відбудеться за кілька поїздок. Місто наразі шукає волонтерів для допомоги у відлові птахів.
Мер Ган сподівається, що цей приклад надихне інших людей завести голубів, що дозволить досягти бажаної чисельності популяції без необхідності їх вбивства.
